About This Spot

Stepping into Chianti Restaurant on Line Avenue feels like entering a quietly refined escape nestled within Shreveport’s energetic rhythm. The warm, dimmed lighting and thoughtfully spaced seating invite you to slow down and settle in, creating an intimate atmosphere that encourages gentle conversation and the savoring of each moment. This is a space where time feels just a little softer, and the bustle of the city gently fades to the background.

The pace here mirrors the care woven into the experience—the attentive yet unobtrusive service nurtures a relaxed rhythm, perfectly suited for a quiet dinner or a romantic evening. From the very first moments, the simple comfort of freshly sliced bread paired with smooth, rich butter hints at the thoughtful touches that quietly define the meal ahead.

The menu at Chianti invites exploration through familiar Italian flavors with a gentle, personalized touch. Whether it’s the tender snapper, seasoned delicately to let its freshness shine, or the unexpectedly delightful quail, dishes arrive thoughtfully composed, balancing freshness with comforting warmth. For those with dietary preferences, Chianti’s kitchen shows genuine care—crafting satisfying vegan options that feel considered and complete, not an afterthought.

Desserts here linger in memory with their quiet elegance—the richness of a classic tiramisù or the delicate texture of a chocolate cake designed for savoring slowly. The wine selection echoes this same quiet dedication, offering companions to the meal that enhance each bite and sip without overpowering.

Chianti isn’t just about food; it’s about moments—the small shared glances across a candlelit table, the soothing comfort of a familiar flavor presented with care, the ease of being welcomed into a space that feels both special and sincere. It’s a place where the everyday becomes softly renewed, and where each visit unfolds as a quietly joyful discovery.

We came here for dinner on a Monday evening shortly after opening. Personnel and service was friendly. The food 3 out of 5 stars. The soups we had were good but al of our main dishes were a bit 'off'. I can't really put my finger on it but no one of finished our dishes. The desserts the chocolate mousse cake and the Tiramisu we couldn't eat and left it on the table after a couple of bites of each dessert.

This was a very romantic experience!! From the service to the wine to the atmosphere set the tone of the evening! . Restaurant is very clean, food is truly a pleasurable experience for your palate and sides compliment the entrée. . Prices are comparable to the magnificent quality of food and portions you receive. . You are served hot, sliced bread with very smooth tasty butter while you soak up the music, atmosphere and company you are spending time with at dinner. . Hope you enjoy the photos, the food is bar far way above the rest! . So if looking for great food, pricing, clean restaurant and friendly staff, book a reservation if you are not wanting to wait.

The setting is intimate. Lights low. Seating is very comfortable. I have had the snapper and the shrimp scampi, both were delicious. The snapper tasted fresh and I would like note, it was very lightly seasoned. Comes with potatoes and green beans, I subbed the green beans for broccoli and was delightfully pleased. Would recommend.

First time here. We loved it! Atmosphere was great. We had the mozzarella appetizer which was light and refreshing. For entree we had the Veal Al Lemon and the Quail dinner. The quail was fantastic. Desert the chocolate cake was amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

Savanna was an amazing waitress and made sure that I had the best vegan meal. I got the pasta primavera without the chicken, vegetable stock instead of chicken stock, and a side of tomato sauce. The head chef even came out and told me he had been vegan for 7 years and knew exactly what to make me! For dessert they don’t have any vegan options but the chef came out again to give me some special vegan chocolate! Absolutely felt like a princess here! 11/10 recommend this place for vegans and non vegans!

Walking into establishment already sets the mood for a relaxing atmosphere. The mood lighting as I called it set the pace for a romantic evening. Our server Sergio was very welcoming. Very attentive. Service was fast and the food was good. Portion size was enough for 2 people. Bread was brought to the table that was fresh and warm. Loved the decor. Friday & Saturday evening they have a pianist who performs. We will go back on a weekend. All around, I enjoyed Chianti’s

Dinner was good, not great, but good. The experience overall was good. It was kind of busy and the waiters seemed overtasked. We sat in a side room that was busy and got loud with all the folks talking in such a small space. The food was good but kind of underwhelming for the price. Overall, It was a good experience but I don't think we would return.

One of our favorite places. The Veal is excellent, Crab claws a must, they can tweak a Martini anyway you like. Highly recommend.
